Meet Judi
Hello! I'm a full-time tutor, specializing in intro Biology, Chemistry, & Geology. I have a Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Geology, and am a Licensed Professional Geologist. I've been tutoring since 2015, and I like to tailor my lessons to each student's learning style, break down difficult concepts in an easy-to-understand way, and I use tons of visual aids to make the concepts clearer. I focus on the conceptual "big picture" and problem-solving skills, and I help students build their own study guides.
What will we do in a session?
It's entirely up to you! There's a couple of different things we can do:

We can start with a list of topics and have a Q&A session discussion on each topic. If you're feeling really overwhelmed, this is usually where we'll start.

You can come with a list of questions or problems and we'll discuss those.

We can work through your homework or practice problems. I won't give you the answers, but I can help guide you through the concepts and steps.
Chemistry
Chemistry can be tough, let me help you sort out the concepts and work through the problems. We'll use lots of visual aids to help you visualize the molecules and reactions. Complete with cheesy puns!
Biology
I'll work with you to develop a solid foundation in the subject and help you build the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in your studies - especially those "critical thinking" questions!
